There are not many restaurants near the Etihad Stadium (City of Manchester Stadium), or "Eastlands" as it's also known locally, which is located a mile outside the city centre in the area of Gorton.
Home to Manchester City Football Club, the stadium is in the heart of Sportcity, a complex of venues which also include the National Cycling Centre, incorporating the National Indoor BMX Arena and Manchester Velodrome, home to the Team GB and Team Sky cycling squads, The National Squash Centre and the Manchester Regional Arena athletics stadium.
