In a city where Eric Cantona
is God, it's surprising that most restaurants offering his
national cuisine have tried and failed. Le Petit Blanc,
Aubaine, L'Entrecote, Le Mont, and even Cafe Rouge, have
all said their "au revoirs".
However Francophones need not cry into their Cognacs,
as there is still a good choice of French restaurants
in Manchester to keep you content; from family
ran bistros serving frogs' legs, escargots and macaroons,
to stylish brasseries and cafe bars offering Steak Tartare,
Beef Bourguignon and Chateaubriand, as well as fine dining
hotel restaurants with their French nouvelle cuisine influences,
including the first ever Michelin star winning restaurant
in the UK.
