We Genuinely Can't Recall Having a Better Value Meal

It's that time of year where restaurants usually suffer from people's enforced tightening of purse strings and "get fit" New Year's resolutions; the result of which produces some incredible special offers to be found at virtually every venue in town, as they try to attract whatever custom is out there - we have 100s to choose from here.

Over the past few years, however, there's one particular offer that we look forward to most, and which also gets the most click thrus on Restaurants Of Manchester: the five course with matching wines Tasting Menu at James Martin Manchester for just £30.

Having recently awarded the celebrity TV chef's restaurant an impressive ★★★½ review from our secret visit in October [here] - which puts them firmly in the Top 10 Best Restaurants in Manchester - we were more than happy when we got the invite to come and preview their new menu.

It has to be said, regardless of the offer running in January and February, James Martin's usual Tasting Menu at 5 courses for £30 (Monday - Friday), is incredible value for money anyway, but throw in the 5 matching wines (usually £17.50 per person) and you can see its attraction amongst our readers.

Needless to say, we were impressed yet again as the refined dishes, served with "proper glasses" of wine, left us declaring that "we genuinely can’t recall having a better value meal anywhere in the city in a very long time."
