Northern Quarter favourites Cocktail Beer Ramen + Bun have joined forces with Chorlton cocktail bar Henry C to open a new high-end venue in one of the city centre's most celbrated three storey Victorian townhouses.

10 Tib Lane will open in the former Bøck Bière Café unit, which is proabably better known to most Mancunians as Lounge 10, the Moulin Rouge-style French restaurant, which was, for many years, one of the city's most celebrated establishments.

Coming full circle to the venue's original cuisine, Alex Shaw - the former chef at Volta and Ramsbottom's Eagle and Child pub - will head up the kitchen with homegrown seasonal contemporary French inspired small plates.

We wish them massive luck with the fantastic project; Pride of Manchester (the owners of Restaurants of Manchester and ManchesterBars.com) previously looked at taking the unit following the closure of Lounge Ten, with plans for opening a high end cocktail bar and restaurant, however the tiny three storey layout made it an almost unfeasible business proposition. It came as no surprise that the Filfthy Cow burger bar, who later took the unit, lasted little more than a year in 2015. 

Bock, the excellent Belgium beer house, faired better. Opened in December 2016 by actor and columnist Iain Hoskins - the man behind Liverpool’s Ma Boyle’s and Ma Egerton’s pubs - it closed its doors for the final time when Lockdown hit in March 2020, with the company eventually folding in June 2020.

10 Tib Lane opens on 27th July 2021.
