Upper Cuts1st Jul 2020The bad news for the UK's food and drink industry keep piling up, as SSP, who operate baguette specialists Upper Crust and Caffe Ritazza at Manchester Piccadilly Station, amongst 580 outlets across the UK, have announced 9,000 job losses.
The group which operates mainly at stations and at airports in 30 countries, have announced that global sales in April and May were 95% down on last year, as people stayed at home and avoided travel.

Whilst the company has seen recent recovery in those countries whose government's acted swiftly in dealing with COVID-19, it is not yet known what lies ahead for their UK operation, and the Manchester branches.
