Shoryu Turns up the Heat for Autumn

This Autumn, ramen lovers of Manchester will be able to enjoy brand new dishes along with delicious seasonal cocktails from Manchester’s best Japanese ramen restaurant, Shoryu Ramen.

The Piccadilly Gardens restaurant is celebrating the start of a new season with a fresh offering from cocktails to katsu, helping hungry diners transition into the autumnal Manchester weather, by turning up the heat with a brand new favourite; a Chicken Katsu Curry Ramen, which combines traditional ramen with the nation’s favourite curry dish for only £14. 

The new Kakuni Tonkotsu Ramen, loaded with braised and soy marinated pork belly, is bound to please; served with nitamago burford brown egg, kikurage mushrooms, spring onions, sesame, red ginger and nori seaweed (£13.50). 

Behind every great ramen dish is a tasty Shoryu cocktail to accompany it, with the cocktail menu growing in size with more fruity, sweet and sour drinks for autumn. 

New cocktails on the menu for this season are:

• Momiji: a fruity and tropical combination of Bacardi rum, coconut rum, Josen sake, cranberry and pineapple juice.
• Koyo: an elegant blend of Suntory Roku gin, apricot brandy and Josen sake.
• Umeshu Sour: a light sour made with Gekkeikan Kobai umeshu plum wine, fresh sour mix and orange bitters. 
• Kiiro Maple: an easy drinking cocktail made with amaretto, Suntory Roku gin, Josen sake and fresh lemon juice. 

Diners can choose to pair their new ramen dish with one of the expertly crafted cocktails during Happy Hour (everyday, 5-8pm) or simply order as they please from a menu featuring a variety of flavours from traditional Japanese gins to the sharp vodka-like taste of Josen sake.
