San Carlo Trafford Centre

Manchester’s celebrated Italian restaurant group, San Carlo, has announced they will be opening the eponymously named San Carlo Champagne Bar, this summer; a new standalone champagne and cocktail bar at Selfridges in the Trafford Centre.

This will be the will be the sixth Selfridges San Carlo Group venue from the Italian Distefano family owned group - which now has 21 restaurants in the UK as well as Qatar, Riyadh, Bahrain and Bangkok, including the flagship San Carlo on King Street West - meaning there is at least one venue in every Selfridges store.

San Carlo Champagne Bar will be located in the newly refurbished accessories hall on the lower level and will serve an expertly curated champagne, prosecco, wine and cocktail list, with more than ten choices of champagne and prosecco served by the glass or bottle, alongside a menu of charcuterie and shellfish plates.

The interior will be a celebration of Italian craft, luxury and beauty with a sculptural and iconic 20 foot wide "cloud" chandelier, inspired by champagne bubbles and the heritage of Italian Murano glass, floating over the marble bar which is comprised of 1000 individual cast glass discs, each one hand made in the Veneto region of Italy.
