As if organising the Festa Italiana food festival was not stressful enough, Salvi's owner Maurizio Cecco has announced plans to open a fourth restaurant within the city.

Salvi's Northern Quarter will neighbour Federal Cafe & Bar, in the former Basil Chambers united vacated by JLL Estate Agents, next door to Shack (formerly The Blue Pig); barely a few metres around the corner from the original Salvi's Mozzarella Bar & Deli, which opened in the Corn Exchange in 2012.

The family-run authentic Italian restaurant group - who use their mother's recipes and source their unique-to-Manchester produce directly from personally selected suppliers back in Naples, Sorrento and beyond - have not long since opened Salvi's Pizzeria Napoletana (in November 2018), next door to their John Dalton Street restaurant Salvi's Cucina (opened April 2014).

Due to open in August, the new Northern Quarter restaurant will also serve authentic Neapolitan pizza, homemade fresh pasta, and Southern Italian fish and meat dishes - with the ingredients flown over from Naples.
