Rockin Around The Christmas Tea

The Lowry Hotel has revealed its luxury Christmas afternoon tea offering, complete with chestnut macarons and a cranberry and clementine cupcake.

Priced at £24, the delicious menu is served in the newly refurbished River Restaurant and includes a premium option of champagne or gin & tonic for an additional £9. 

The festive sandwich offering includes roast turkey & apricot stuffing, smoked salmon & watercress, Burford Brown egg & cucumber and a Provolone with sweet vine tomato chutney.

For those with a sweet tooth, seasonal delights include a chestnut & chocolate macaron, snowman meringue, cranberry & clementine cupcake with pine frosting, and a spiced gingerbread cake with candied fruits.

The River Restaurant, which re-opened in September, recently gained a very rare 4 Star score from Restaurants Of Manchester, with Head Chef Dave Ashton’s modern and progressive play on classic dishes impressing the undercover reviewers.
