Northern Quarter Wilderness

The team behind the brand new Wilderness Record Store in Withington have announced plans to bring the concept into the Northern Quarter, with plans to open a new two-story bar and restaurant in the former Odd unit, which was briefly home to vegan restaurant Folk & Soul.

Wilderness Bar + Kitchen is the baby of Dan Morris (former Group Manager of Trof and Ops Director for Cottonopolis), and Junkyard Golf Club directors Bart Murphy, Mat Lake and Lyndon Higginson, who is also director for the Liars Group (Liar's Club, Crazy Pedros, Bunny Jackson's, Cane & Grane, Science & Industry)

The aim is to open for mid-June and the team have recruited what they describe as "some of the best young F&B talent in the U.K"

Wilderness Record Store opened on Record Store, 13th April 2019 and stocks a broad range of vinyl whilst serving freshly made toasties, cakes and pastries alongside a selection of interesting beers and wines, as well as its own gin and tonics.  There are also plans for it to double in size in the summer so that it can host an events programme that will include acoustic sets, Q&A’s with artists, DJ’s, film screenings and creative workshops.
