• As we also reported here, the brand new The Library curated by Assouline at the 5 Star Radisson Blu Edwardian Manchester have also launched their "Impossible Edition" afternoon tea inspired by the French book publisher's most luxurious collection. £28 (or £35 with Prosecco), every day 12:00 - 17:00 

• Since becoming MasterChef Champion in 2015, Simon Wood’s winning menu has evolved a little over the years but the great flavours that the judges loved have only got better. Enjoy a champagne reception in Wood Manchester's intimate private dining room, on Friday 9th August, and experience Simon’s winning menu and hear about how he has developed his cooking since his time on the show in this one off dinner, for £75pp
• Also one for your calendar; join Wood on Friday 26th July 2019 for an exploration of the very best of new and old world wines accompanied by a five course tasting menu from Simon Wood and his team. Enjoy an intimate dinner and drinks in the private dining room as Wood’s wine expert talks guests through the differences in wines between the different regions. £80 with only 16 places available.

• Gamers shouldn't miss out on the new exclusive themed 3-course menu for just £24 at Shoryu Ramen - which runs until 21st July - as it will take them on an adventure to transcend worlds as part of the official launch of the "Final Fantasy XIV Shadowbringers" game. Diners will receive a code to unlock in-game items Buttery Mogbiscuit (x 10) and Fat Choco Choco (x 10), amongst other "Final Fantasy" goodies

• Crazy Pedro's and Crazy Pedro's NQ have launched a brand new cocktail selection with "Pedro & The Prinny" – a stunning combination of Koch El Mezcal and strawberry-infused Beefeater Pink; the "Hulk Smash" - made with Koch Espadín, Patrón Blanco, Chartreuse, lemon, agave and soda; oh and there's eight new flavours of their popular "Frozen Margs" - including Pineapple + Pomegranate, Kiwi + Lemongrass, or Mango + Pink Peppercorn. You can even go all-in and get a massive one, to share between 3 or 4, for £16.50. And don't forget it's 2-for-1 on all cocktails Sunday - Friday, 17:00 - 21:00
• As you may have also seen elsewhere in our news, Crazy Pedro's Part-Time Pizza Parlour on Bridge Street, and Crazy Pedro's Northern Quarter have unleashed their naughtiness for July in the form of "Get Your Frites Out!"; a take on the classic French favourite, Steak Frites, they've put juicy steak and sweet potato fries on a pizza made using a secret tomato base and also topped with mushrooms, peppercorn sauce and finished with a sprinkle of watercress. Just £2 a slice, or £10 during Happy Hour. Très bien!

• The plush Rikyū Bar, inside the 5 Star Radisson Blu Edwardian Hotel have now introduced a monthly Sake Masterclass, which sits alongside their brilliant Japanese Whisky Masterclass. Both classes cost £50 and include a selection of contemporary Japanese canapés
