New Food Hall Ships Into Manchester

Manchester is set to get a new street food hub, as London operator Boxpark has been earmarked to move into Allied London's new Shipyard building on the site of the former Granada studios.

Originally opened as a pop-up boutique mall and street food market, using old shipping containers, in Shoreditch, 2011, Boxpark now have permanent venues in Croydon, Shoreditch and Wembley.

With a planned 2022 opening date, Boxpark Manchester's new riverside warehouse dining destination is set to compete against similar street food offerings at Hatch, on Oxford Road, and Escape to Freight Island, in Piccadilly. 


The venue should prove a popular destination for the cluster of media, tech and creative companies set to move into Allied London's new Enterprise City - the area between the River Irwell, Spinningfields, St. John's Gardens, and the Museum of Science & Industry -  with Booking.com relocating their global headquarters to the site.
