Mad For It in Didsbury

Serial Manchester restaurateur Steve Pilling has converted his Didsbury tapas bar, La Cantina, into a small communal food space, replicating the concept of his Stockport Produce Hall.

The Mad Giant, in the venue briefly occupied by El Rincon offshot Rafa’s, on Wilmslow Road, will also welcome a number of the Stockport traders, including Black Market Espresso Co., Chaat Cart Indian street food, Kambuja by Angkor Soul and Pilling's own AtLast Burgers and Kneadful Things Pizza.

A cocktail bar will stock a wide range of craft beers from local breweries, with 12 ales on tap, including the likes of Alphabet Brewing Company, Beatnikz Republic, First Chop, and ShinDigger.

As well as Stockport Produce Hall and The Mad Giant, Pilling is best known for creating venues including Mr Thomas’s and Sam’s Chop Houses, Damson, The Red Lion Stockport, La Cantina, Roost, Liquorice (now Vesper), Lost In Tokyo, Guilty by Association, The Dockyard, Gasworks, The Moor Top pub, and Blackshaw's Kitchen Stockport.

Although the Didsbury food hall opened its doors on the 4th December, the official launch party will be the 23rd January 2020.
