Local Pubs Go Bust16th Jun 2020Like many Manchester restaurant owners, award-winning family-ran Lancashire gastropub group, The Seafood Pub Company have failed to receive any Government funding during lockdown and, as a result, have ceased trading.
With no income since being forced to close in March, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the company were unable to access Government support in the form of a Coronavirus Business Interruption Loan nor secure any other funding, leaving them with no choice other than to go into Administration.

Unless a buyer can be found, the move could mean the permanent closure of local pubs on Manchester's doorstep, including:
With many other operators - let alone the self-employed suppliers who support them - also falling through the gaps of the Government's headline scheme, we can expect to see many more of our favourite places fail to reappear once Lockdown is eased.
