Izakaya Is A Comin'24th Dec 2019A new Japanese Robata restaurant is set to open in the former Circle Club / Be At One unit below Barton Arcade - most recently used for the Bar Barton pop up.
MOSU is set to be a modern take on the traditional Japanese Izakaya, a type of informal after work bar.
Advertised as "a true taste of Tokyo after dark," interestingly, the proposed kitchen hours are rather limited despite the £2m cost to transform the basement venue for just 70-covers; Thursday to Sunday from 16:00 until midnight, with the saki bar open until 04:00.

Meats, fish and vegetables will be cooked on a Robata grill using Japanese Binchō-tan charcoal, whilst a sushi counter will showcase the best British seafood alongside daily imports from Tokyo's famous Tsukiji fish market.
The owners have promised the "most exquisite sake menu in Manchester," which is a big claim considering the competition from the likes of Peter Street Kitchen's Rikyu Bar and Shoryu Ramen.
MOSU is expected to open in Spring 2020.
