Gusto No Shows8th Jul 2020Knutsford restaurant chain Gusto reported an incredible 270 "no-shows" across their nine re-opened branches on Monday 6th July, their first day of trading in almost four months.
The unattended reservations including some at their Didsbury, Cheadle Hulme, Alderley Edge and Knutsford branches, are said to have cost the company £6,000 in lost earnings, at a time they need it most.
The stunning Gusto Manchester currently remains closed, with no opening date yet announced.

The 18 branch chain, which was rebranded from Est Est Est in 2007, was part of the Living Ventures stable from 2005 until it was separately spun off in a management buy out in 2014.
Once the jewel of the Manchester dining scene, and celebrated as one of the best companies in hospitality to work for, Living Ventures - with whom Gusto shares a number of mutual directors, including founder Jeremy Roberts - have seen their fortunes change recently with their Manchester House, Artisan, Olive, and Blackhouse Grill (Grill on the Alley & Grill on New York Street), all entering into administration.
Given the fine lines between profit and loss in the hospitality trade - especially as venues try to re-open safely with more social distancing measures - it is imperative that diners inform the restaurant of their change of plans if they can no longer attend reservations; jobs depend on it.
