Grindsmith Grinds To A Halt

In a devastating week that saw the closure of two of our favourite venues, Fika and Roc & Rye, it appears that the popular Grindsmith Coffee's stunning Bridge Street branch could also be about to follow suit.

Served with a "Notice of Possession" order by landlord Watch This Space Property, the intimate ground floor cafe of the beautiful building, which only opened in February and is clad in a coloured crystal mosaic inspired by the arts and craft movement which flourished in Manchester between 1880 and 1920, has remained shut since Sunday 14th April. 

Grindsmith, who continue to operate at Media City, claim that the close is temporary and they are currently going through a legal process with the landlord.
