Following the announcement in April that Restaurant MCR's Aiden Byrne had pulled out of plans to takeover Steven Gerrard's Vincent in his hometown of Liverpool, another celebrated local chef has stepped in to fill the void.

El Gato Negro head honcho Simon Shaw has confirmed that the dining room, at Exchange Flags, one of the city's most historic buildings, will become home to a second branch of his acclaimed Spanish tapas bar/restaurant.
