Hot on the heels of the financial news that Manchester bar chain, The Alchemist, have seen sales rise by 19%, London restaurant group Dishoom have announced a 26% rise in turnover during 2018. 

With sales of £44.98 million from their seven sites (five in London, one in Edinburgh and the Manchester branch opening a month before the end of the accounting period), they have also indicated that they are on the look out for new sites, whilst also expanding their original Covent Garden restaurant, after acquiring the Jamie's Italian site next door.

Opened in December 2018, inside Manchester's historic Manchester Hall - the former masonic lodge - Dishoom Manchester pays homage to the freemasons of 1830's India and the Irani cafés of 20th Century Bombay, which were opened by Zoroastrian immigrants fleeing Islamic persecution in Iran.

Famed for its Bacon Naan Rolls, 24-hour cooked Black Daal. Chowpatty Beach style Pau Bhajis, and baked to order Roomalti Roti, for every meal sold, Dishoom donate a meal to a child in the UK or India who would otherwise go hungry.
