Despedida La Tasca12th Jun 2019La Tasca, the Spanish tapas chain that started on Manchester's Deansgate in 1993 has left its birthplace for good, after shutting its Trafford Centre branch on Sunday 9th June 2019.
Staff have been moved to other local restaurants within parent company The Casual Dining Group's branches, which includes fellow Spanish tapas restaurant La Vina, Bella Italia, Café Rouge and Las Iguanas.

At one time boasting 39 outlets, it is now down to just three (Liverpool, London and Essex), with the original Deansgate branch remaining empty for two years and currently earmarked to become DGS cocktail bar, with a nightclub called Space.
The Trafford Centre are in negotiations to find a taker for the empty unit.
