Imperial Sunday Roast Preview

Who doesn’t love sitting down to a Sunday roast? A quick poll in our office proved that we all do! In fact, it’s up there with our favourite meals of the week.  Luckily for the people of Manchester and our office, Tattu have introduced the "Imperial Sunday Roast."  We were invited to try this captivating twist on the traditional Sunday roast ahead of its official release. 

The “Imperial Sunday Roast” offers an imaginative take on the meal we’re all so familiar with, and the flavours and flair we’ve come to expect from Tattu.

This new menu is designed to be shared between two and includes; 

Char Siu made with Iberico pork; arguably the finest pork on earth, roasted until super tender with Tattu’s signature sauce.

Aromatic Roast Duck, flavoured with an array of spices and then roasted and glazed to shiny perfection.

Chinese BBQ chicken, was a real table pleaser, insanely juicy and seasoned with chilli & sweet soy for a huge savoury flavour hit.   Delicious.

Caramel Soy Beef Fillet (£10 supplement) is well worth adding, for some extra indulgence.  A generous portion of great quality fillet, cooked pink with a side of dipping sauce.  It’s Sunday so why not treat yourself! Which is eaxactly what we did.

No Sunday roast is complete without side dishes the ones that accompany the roast meats did not disappoint. Salt and Pepper roasties, fluffy steamed buns, pancakes, fresh pak choi and a choice of sauces.   Our meal ended in a small tussle for the last roastie.  Is there ever a higher form of praise? 

Although we didn’t sample the Vegan option on our visit it sounds like Vegetarian and Vegan diners won’t be missing out as their Imperial Sunday Roast includes; 

Satay cauliflower with nam jim and peanuts and Mock caramel soy beef fillet with shiitake, ginger and asparagus.

We did how ever have room for one dessert; it was a tough choice between the Asian Pear Sticky Toffee Pudding, infused with cinnamon and vanilla and the White Chocolate Dragon Egg, Coconut, passion fruit and mango (both priced at £8).

Since it was unseasonably warm on the day of our visit we opted for the White Chocolate Dragon Egg, a dish that never fails to impress.

Tattu’s Imperial Sunday Roast is available from Sunday Sept 10th, and costs £32 per person.
