Harry Ramsdens Manchester - member's reviews

"We visit Harry Ramsdens on a regular basis and always enjoy it. I was supposed to dine at their branch inside The Lowry Shopping Outlet, but it closed at 6pm. Therefore, I had an alternative option to dine at the Manchester Stretford Restaurant. It was very disappointing. I ordered the two for £10 deal but observed the fish to be a quarter the size of the Regular Fish & Chips in their other branches (Cheshire Oaks, Trafford Centre, Lowry Centre etc). It was small and dry, like eating a fish finger. It was not the Harry Ramsden quality at all and I felt really depressed when I saw disappointment around the table, with all my relatives unsatisfied. I felt embarrassed for promising them the "world famous" fish & chips, but they ended up with the worst and most overpriced "fish fingers". I passed my comments to the manager but they showed no interest at all ." - harry lloyd, manchester ~ NEW MEMBER (12/7/11 ~ visited on a tuesday evening)

Trusted Reviewer "As far as fish & chippies go, Harry Ramsdens is incredibly expensive however the quality of the food, excellent service and the size of the portions are all quite impressive. The decor is 110% better than their old 'dodgy' setting on the edge of the city centre and being located just next to Old Trafford is always a bonus ." - matthew, manchester ~ TRUSTED REVIEWER (20/4/07 ~ visited on a friday afternoon)
